Since I was a child I loved history of ancient Greeks and Romans and also the Art history from the Middle Ages to the Avanguardie of the '900. I live in Salerno, a characteristic sea town located between the paradise of Amalfi Coast and the charming Cilento. I'm going to offer my knowledge in the art-historical and archaeological field for anyone who wants to understand and investigate the incredible richness of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum and the other amazing archaeological sites of Campania Region. I’m leading people to discover the secrets of ancient Greeks and Romans that already in the past they knew the incomparable beauty of this places. I collaborate with Slow Food (an international movement that strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem) and so I organize specific tours to those who want to discover the authentic pleasures of wine and traditional food. Hi to everyone, I'm Paolo. I'm an archaelogist and I have been working as tourist guide (license n° 1792 of the Campania Region) for several years . I was born in in the middle of the bay of Naples, by the mount Vesuvius. I have always loved history and archaeology, also because, where I live, there are the incredible excavations of Herculaneum. Since I was a child, I loved entering in Herculaneum and in Pompeii where I was amazed by the classical civilization. So I turned my passion into my work, being a licensed tourist guide. I graduated at the "L'Orientale" University in Naples obtaining a master's degree in Classical Archaeology and during my training I participated in several excavation campaigns in Pompeii and Cuma. I know very well even the city of Naples, where its historical center is Unesco Heritage, the bay of Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. It's a unique place in the world where you can breathe a magical air. It's also famous for its food, just think that the pizza Margherita was born here. I love my land rich of history and culture. “ Fun night out ”

This was a fun tour but pretty pricy. Tim was an excellent guide very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the history of the different back alley ways. However the price quickly adds up as no food or beverages are included (we knew this and that we needed to pay for him as well). Tim orders for you so you don’t know the price until settling your bill. I would set a budget next time. It was our last night so we felt it was good fit.

“ Great Tour! ”

I booked this for my parents who were visiting Tokyo. Nobu was responsive and told me everything I needed to know so I could relay the information to my parents. My parents said he was very knowledgeable about the sites they were at and enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in experiencing Mt Fuji!
