It was fun to check out Kamakura and Enoshima island in a day. Eri san was an excellent guide and came prepared with all the information and history of the sites. It makes the tour so much more memorable. Eri was especially helpful when my phone ran out of battery and helped me took more pictures. Will definitely recommend anyone who wants a guided tour to ask for Eri.
Thank you so much for such a nice review! I'm very happy that you are happy with those photos I took for you, which are full of your smile and your favorite flowers. I hope you'll go back home with only good memories of Japan. See you again in Kamakura!! Best wishes, Eri
My husband and I recently spent four days touring in Japan with Shoji. He patiently and expertly steered us through a very confusing combination of multiple subways rides, regular trains, tramways and cable cars, as required each day, including obtaining the requisite tickets. He is knowledgeable about a great many different areas of Japan, so he was able to guide us to Nikko, Hakone, and Kamakura - as well as multiple locations within the metro-Tokyo area. It was a pleasure to be able to explore with the same well-educated guide for all four days, and his English fluency was perfect for us as we speak no Japanese.
I was communicating with Yao before purchasing a nine hour luxury van no guide tour with English speaking driver. He answered all questions, assured me that there was flexibility in the schedule and suggested another stop in addition to our requested stops. The train and public transportation option is attractive price wise but I believe that only with a dedicated vehicle it was possible to visit Houkokuji, Tsurugaoka Hachimanju, Komachi St (with time for browsing and street food), Hase-dera and Kotaku-in efficiently and in comfort. We were ahead of schedule so Tou asked if we wanted to make another stop, but it had been a full day and we were ready to head back to Tokyo. We were very satisfied with Tao. Where his English was unable to fully explain, google translate did the job. We were able to call Tou when we were ready to leave a stop so there was great flexibility in the schedule which you really appreciate when you see other groups loading onto their tour bus or drive by tourists waiting at the bus stop. I would recommend Fuji to anyone needing or wanting a private transportation. On a side note, toll and parking fees was estimated at about ¥5,000, but the actual cost was closer to ¥8,000.
Thank you for your review, we are very glad that you had a really good time. And we are looking forward to meeting you next time.
We really enjoyed traveling to Kamakura and Yokosuka with Horuo. It was generally overcast (with a bit of rain) so we were often alone at some of the most popular tourist destinations in the area, and we were able to generally avoid the crowds with Haruo. Travel was very easy for us, and we learned a lot about Japan's history while on our adventures with him. Haruo is very knowledgeable about about the locations he took us to, and was able to bring each bridge and path to life with background we would have otherwise been oblivious to - stories of royalty, faith, assassination plot, wars, peace, and daily life for residents throughout history. There is so much we would have otherwise missed without Haruo, and we are deeply appreciative that we were able to share our travels with him.
Dear Trevis Thank you very much for your heartwarming review. This encourages me to improve my guiding. I was also very happy to have a tour with you. Please take care of yourselves. Best Regards Haruo
