Begin Hike

We drive to our hiking starting point at Bhanjyang and begin our hike towards the Champadevi Temple.

Champdevi Temple

After a long, yet enjoyable walk with sight of beautiful green lush vegetation mixed with pine trees and colorful flowers, we will finally arrive at the top of the hill where the Goddess Champadevi resides. We pay our homage and walk further down to find our best spot for lunch.

Start Descend

We shall take a rest and have our lunch while enjoying the grand view of the Kathmandu Valley and the beautiful range of the Himalayas. On a clear day, we can see from Manaslu in the west to Gaurishanker in the east.

Machhegaun

We gradually descend and then ascend to reach our hiking ending point from where we shall take a quick drive to Kirtipur.

We will discover the popular Hindus and Buddhist temples and monuments, and Newars settlement and their delicious cuisine.

How long and difficult is the hike

Everyone has their own pace of walking, and it varies with every traveler. The average time for the hike is 5 to 6 hours. It includes uphill and downhill walk through graveled, and stone staircase trails. It is a beginner's level hiking trail which is perfect for novice trekkers. The highest elevation who shall reach is 2278m (Champadevi) from 1400m (Kathmandu).

How many hours for the complete tour

We are planning to hike upto the temple and descend to Kirtipur town for sightseeing. It is rather a long day trip which includes hiking and sightseeing. As the hiking time can be different for every traveler, we wish to complete the tour in less than 9 hours. And if you wish to customize, we are happy to do so.
