Portugal

Hi there! Welcome to Guimarães and Braga, Portugal. My name is Fernanda. In the past I have studied Tourism and worked as a hotel receptionist for 6 years in Oporto. I then returned to University and got a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese/Latin/Greek and became a teacher. I like talking to people and I have enjoyed visiting cultural sites and monuments ever since I was a child. I especially like to communicate with people from other countries and cultures. Finally, Braga and Guimarães are two towns I know really well. For many years I studied in both Braga and Guimarâes, and I also worked for years in Guimarâes. I would be happy to be your personal tour guide as I have done so many times for my overseas friends. I would love to take you to popular places as well as places unknown to the average tourists. I can provide you with the valuable insight of a local, along with a unique experience, as I have been doing for the last 10 years as a private tour guide. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to talking with you about your exciting personal tour! Take care, Fernanda Tourism degree Portuguese/Latin/Greek bachelor's degree

Portugal

My name is Ricardo and I was born and raised in Porto City. Although tourism changed Porto for the best (in my opinion) for the last 5 years, me and my family had to move out from Porto, into the bush, housing and living costs became very high and we made the choice that we should move out to the countryside. In this last year 2020 and even this year 2021 with pandemic work just fell down drastically and we had to adapt. Making Port Wine, Muscat wine and sometimes olive oil in a amatuer way since 2014, this hobbie become my family income. With vineyards and olives fields almost abandoned from the pandemic I rolled up my sleeves and went to work, asking neighbours and friends if I could keep their grapes and olives for harvest time, their answers were immediately YES Dividing my life between Porto and Douro Valley, me and my family feel completely safe, happy and relaxed with this new way of living your life. Come and see my amazing town Porto and Douro Valley Wine Region from the eyes of a local !!! Hope to see you soon. Cheers !!! Ricardo

A Guide Who Knows

Toshiro is a knowledgeable, organized and focused guide who will plan an itinerary around your interests & preferences. He is punctual, able to pivot and knows how to navigate Tokyo’s streets and transportation grid efficiently allowing for the best use of the time booked. He is a warm personality & has a good sense of humor. We spent 3 unforgettable days with “Toshi.” I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a great guide to get the most out of your time in Tokyo or other places nearby. Thank you Toshi!

Tokyo through the scree

I managed to feel the city thought the screen and being in another part of the world. From one area in Tokyo l managed to feel the diversity of the city. And within one hour I found out about the main cultural peculiarities. The tour was well planned and interactive (despite being virtual). Thank you Yukiko. It was a pleasure.

Very flexible, informative and enjoyable

We enjoyed very much our tour with Yoji. He was very flexible, educated with interesting facts and trivia, and personable about life in Japan. His English was excellent and thus communication was clear.

A great day in Nagasaki with Hero

We were fortunate to have Hero as our guide for one day in Nagasaki. Inspite of the unstable weather he made the itinerary work seamlessly for our group of eight cruisers from Australia. We enjoyed all of the places visited including Mt. Inasa lookout, Peace Memorial Park, Dejima Museum and Wharf (where we had lunch), Spectacle Bridge, Hamamo-machi Shopping Arcade, then lastly the Glover Garden and Holland Slope. He was always receptive to all our requests. We loved his friendly manner and local knowledge which are both great assets as a tour guide. I would not hesitate to recommend Hero to anyone touring Nagasaki even for only a day.
