The White Tower

The heart of the fortress complex, the White Tower dates from the 11th century. It is the oldest part and the reason for the (slightly misleadingly!) singular name: The Tower. Today the White Tower houses an awesome collection of medieval armour and weaponry including three suits of armour that were made for that most famous of English kings, Henry VIII. Don't miss the executioners mask, axe and execution block. Plus there's an 'armoured' dragon!

11:50 AM

The execution site and chapel of rest.

Site of the 'politically sensitive' executions and the last resting place of axe victims of the House of Tudor. Hear the stories of the last moments of those condemned to death.
